Traditional Farmhouse

This Litchfield County private home is set on 460 acres in the foothills of the Taconic Mountains in northwestern Connecticut. Eighteen acres were extensively re-graded, redeveloped, and re-landscaped for roads, gardens, and buildings. The site was developed with consideration of the surrounding conservation lands and watercourses. Completed in 2002, the house is a 25,000 sf, seven-bedroom residence designed in the tradition of the Litchfield County farmhouse with porches, roof decks, and gabled roof. The house includes a large library and home theatre. The project includes the main farmhouse, property manager’s house, a renovated barn, and an eight-truck vehicle barn.
